23-Jan-2013 IABC Edmonton is currently seeking four judges and two alternates who live and work outside of Edmonton for their annual Capital Awards competition.

Award judging will take place in Edmonton on Sat., April 27, and Sun., April 28, 2013. Judges will be required to be in Edmonton the evening of April 26 and must be available for judging until 5 p.m. on Sun, April 28. Actual judging time will depend on the number of entries. Judges should plan on reviewing entries from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 27 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 28.

Accreditation is preferred but required. Work and judging experience will also play key roles in the selection process. Experience in areas such as public relations, media relations, corporate communications, government relations, marketing, advertising and community relations are assets.

If you are interested in traveling to Edmonton to judge the Capital Awards entries, kindly reply by email to maya.filipovic@epsb.ca. Please include a brief introduction, including why you are interested in judging, any past judging experiences, and your work experience to date.

The IABC Edmonton chapter will provide the following for each judge:
1. Reimbursement of airfare or transportation to/from Edmonton up to $600 each.
2. Edmonton ground transportation, if needed.
3. Hotel room for April 27 and April 28.
4. Breakfast and lunch on April 27 and April 28.
5. Hosted dinner on Saturday evening.

Application deadline is Friday, February 22, 2013. Judges will be selected and contacted the week of March 1, 2013.
