The Regina chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is proud to bring you the first Regina Communicator Awards, recognizing outstanding communicators from the Queen City and surrounding area.

The awards highlight excellence in strategic communications, public relations, marketing, community development, media relations, social media strategies and many more areas of professional communications. They also celebrate excellence in communications leadership.

Nominations are open April 1 to May 15 in four categories:

The IABC/Regina CEO Communicator of the Year Award recognizes a Regina-based executive leader (CEO, President, Deputy Minister, Chair, etc.) who is a strong, clear and engaging communicator. This executive leader guides with clear, strategic communications and values the communications function in his/her organization.

The IABC/Regina Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes a chapter volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution through their volunteer work to IABC/Regina, the Canada West Region, the International organization and/or the IABC membership. This is someone who is dedicated to helping the organization, its members and the professions it represents.

The IABC/Regina Dynamite Communicator of the Year Award recognizes a Regina-area communicator at any level who has demonstrated a commitment to the communications field in a professional capacity. This is a communicator who goes above and beyond the call of duty, exemplifies excellence in communications and would be a welcome addition to any team.

The IABC/Regina Award for Communications Contribution recognizes a Regina-area communicator who has made an outstanding contribution to the communications field either in a volunteer or professional capacity. This is a person or project that has contributed to the body of knowledge in the communications field and/or demonstrates excellence in communications practices.

The awards will be presented at a black-tie gala event Friday, June 13, at Crave. Save the date and book the babysitter for an incredible evening of networking, cocktails, appetizers and celebration. The event will also recognize the winners of the IABC/Regina Mentorship Challenge.

Nomination forms are available at the IABC/Regina website. IABC membership is not a requirement of nominators or nominees.
